S.P. Gaskets Insulation Kit Gaskets: Types and Composition
We are your all-in-one solution for flange insulation kit gaskets. We manufacture, design, and provide three distinct types of gaskets to suit various flange configurations:

TYPE-D: Designed for installation in RTJ (Ring Type Joint) flange grooves.

TYPE-E: Created for full-face flanges.
-
TYPE-F: Intended for raised-face flanges.
Composition of Type E and F Gaskets
Each Type E and Type F flange insulation kit gasket consists of the following components:

2 Electroplated metallic washers
-
2 Insulating washers for each bolt
-
1 Central gasket with optimal thickness in the flat section
-
1 Integral washer sleeve or full-length insulating sleeve for each bolt
Type F Gaskets for Raised-Face Flanges
These gaskets are available in compliance with API, ANSI B16.5, DIN, and BS standards. The central gasket fits inside the flange bolt circle and rests fully on the raised face of the flange. We offer these gaskets in all materials listed in the table.
Type E Gaskets for Full-Face Flanges
Designed for use with API, ANSI B16.5, DIN, and BS standards, the outside diameter of the central gasket in this type matches the flange's outer diameter and bolt holes. This design simplifies gasket alignment during installation. Type E gaskets are typically made from reinforced neoprene-faced phenolic material or other materials listed in the table.
Type D Gaskets for Ring Gaskets
These gaskets are compatible with API, ANSI B16.5, DIN, and BS standards. Made from fabric-reinforced phenolic material or other specified materials, Type D gaskets are available in two shapes: octagonal and oval. The oval-faced contact surface provides a reliable seal and complies with ASME B16.20 standards.
